October marks the tail end of the rainy season and the onset of the winter. I travelled to Chiang Mai on Halloween day and spent 3 days and 2 nights at Eastin Tan Hotel Chiang Mai.

The hotel located on Nimmanhemin and closed to MAYA Shopping Center. I reserved a room from Agoda with using “Rao Tiew Duay Kan” for saving 40% accommodation. “Rao Tiew Duay Kan” is a campaign for Thai government to encourage Thai people to travel in nationwide.

Usually I will get on a city bus from Chiang Mai International Airport to Chiang Mai downtown. But no city bus anymore, so I got on a taxi from the airport to the hotel instead. I arrived before the check-in time at 2 pm, but the staff is so nice and no charge for early check-in. My room was a Superior room with 34 square mates. The bed was comfortable to lay down and slept well at night. The hotel offered full options of breakfast and the food was good taste. I highly recommend who are looking for a nice accommodation in Chiang Mai. This hotel is a good choice.

After I dropped my luggage in the room and I didn’t find “Rod Dang” so I walked from the hotel to “Boat Restaurant”. The restaurant isn’t so much changing. Boat has been my favorite bakery & restaurant since I was a student at Chiang Mai University. I ordered American Fried Rice, Ice Latte Coffee and Ice Cream Cake for my brunch.

I walked along Huai Kaew Road, passed my university until Rod Dang Queue. I went up by cable car to visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. Phra That Doi Suthep has been restored many years and it’s just for the restoring.
I didn’t have any plan to travel in Chiang Mai, to be honest I have been here because I still have four plane tickets from Bangkok Airways that I got them from last year. It’s time to use it. I spent time to go for a walk in my university, hanging out with my friend. We had lunch at Ka Lae Restaurant and Fernpresso at Lake before I was back to Bangkok.
